Mobile Marble Company Celebrates 50th Anniversary! What's New on YouTube, Book Corner & Local Events

Mobile Marble Company
Mike Waldo & David Lindsey

When a company celebrates 50 years of success you know they are doing something right. Mobile Marble Company has been owned by the Lindsey family since it began in 1973. David Lindsey's father became intrigued by the Cultured Marble process and decided to open a manufacturing facility in Mobile, Alabama. Homeowners, along the Gulf Coast, have utilized the company to remodel their bathrooms for decades. Quality, integrity and attention to detail are some of the characteristics that this team of professionals brings to your bathroom remodel project. Mike Waldo, VP, enjoys working with home owners to create the bathroom of their dreams. As a contractor, he brings an elevated level of expertise to every job site.

Ryan Lindsey

Ryan Lindsey, is third generation and can be found on most installations. His friendly demeanor puts customers at ease. Many bathroom projects can be completed in a matter of days instead of weeks. There is a great deal of planning that takes place prior to installation day.

The company has evolved over the years and offers complete bathroom remodeling services. If you stop by the showroom on Overlook Road you'll see samples of cabinets, faucets, hardware and of course cultured marble.

Keeping the business in the family insures that the quality of customer service remains high. Every remodel is customized to suite the client's needs and the space.

One of the most popular services that Mobile Marble Company offers is the Total Tub Replacement. Many home owners have tubs that are too small to use and end up taking up valuable space. This improvement can be enhanced with mobility solutions including handrails for further safety

One of the company's core principles is to only use products made in the USA. Because they manufacture the tubs, sinks, shower replacements and more on-site, delays are not common. Perhaps the biggest challenge for customers is the demand for their services. Some of the largest residential remodels in the history of the company have been scheduled during 4th quarter of 2022!

Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary! We're hoping for another fifty for Mobile Marble Company! For more information click here. The showroom is located at 6656 Overlook Road, call to book an estimate at 251-344-6272.

What's New on YouTube?

Creamy Oyster Soup is a great option for the lenten season. This one is easy to prepare and will be a family favorite. Click here to watch the video and let's cook together. Definitely pick up some tasty French bread and serve with your favorite salad!

Tip: I buy Reising's bread from our local Rouse's Supermarket to serve with soups!

Desserts can be a challenge however this one NEVER fails me. I've baked Paula Deen's Pound Cake at least a dozen times and it has never disappointed me. Sour cream gives this one a moist and delicious flavor. I serve it plain or with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Click here to watch my latest dessert episode! The great thing about this cake is that it can be stored in the freezer for a couple of months. To prepare for the freezer just cut cake into slices, wrap in clear cling wrap, cover in foil and then place in a freezer bag! When you are ready to serve, remove from freezer and let it thaw. You can warm in your microwave!

My final video for the Soup for the Soul series is this Louisiana inspired Shrimp & Corn Bisque. This episode will release on Sunday morning for your dining pleasure! Click here to subscribe to my channel! Enjoy this tasty soup.

In the Book Corner!

Last week I did an informal poll on social media asking readers "what is your favorite sandwich"? The response was amazing and the data is still coming in! Reuben, Muffuletta, Grilled Cheese and Italian were some of the front-runners. Special thanks to everyone who responded!

As part of my research I decided to read this wonderful cookbook by Jennifer & Jason Denton with Kathryn Kellinger. Simple Italian Sandwiches is based on recipes from the Denton's New York restaurant, "ino".

I am excited about making some handhelds from this book and disclosing my preferences with you on YouTube in the future! The Dentons share their bread & meat choices and methods of preparation used in their popular restaurant. I can hardly wait to get started! There are countless Panini options (my favorite) so you know where I am going to begin! Let's cook some sandwiches together!

Local Happenings!

This warm weather is drawing me outdoors! I've been cleaning up my neglected flower beds and getting flower pots ready for some spring color! The birds are flying above, begging me to fill up "their" restaurants and of course squirrels are everywhere entertaining me with their antics. I wanted to share Mobile Botanical Gardens Spring Plantasia sale beginning next week (online). In the past, some of my best vegetable producers were purchased there. Members enjoy a 10% discount, so this is the perfect time to join and support this worthy endeavor!

Insider tip: Members can visit the garden after hours using their special gate code and leashed pets are welcome!

Bellingrath Gardens is hosting its annual Beers & Blooms Event on Saturday, March 4th. Tickets can be bought by clicking here! This promises to be a Saturday filled with music and beautiful blooms!

There are all sorts of events popping up across the Gulf Coast! There's no reason to be bored these days! Explore what is happening by selecting the links below!

Lil Jack and Marcello headed out to see Rebecca at Apollo's Paws for their monthly shower & shave this week! I can't brag enough about how great her pet spa is. Apollo's is located on Grelot & Knollwood. Click here for more information. Did you know that she offers grooming services for cats, birds & exotics? It is always fun to drop off my boys and see who she is taking care of this week!

I am heading across the bay this morning to see my favorite master auto mechanic, Andrew Lee at Ronnie Lee's Automotive. My car has a very slow oil leak and I want to find out the source. If you drive a European vehicle then this is the repair shop for you. Ronnie Lee's is located on CR 64 in Daphne. Call 251-625-3355 to schedule an appointment.

Have a spectacular week! Get outdoors and soak up some of this summer like weather! Perhaps head over to REDBAR Espresso for Sunday Brunch! There is always something to do along the Coast!
