Am I the only one who suddenly has the urge to clean my home from ceiling to floor in the spring? I work my way through our home, room by room, dusting and cleaning until everything has been touched. I began this week and will continue until the annual task is complete. Sure, it is overwhelming at times, however the results definitely contribute to our overall health.
Several years ago, I committed to limiting chemicals in my space. I searched online for solutions that work and found a fantastic YouTuber who is a professional cleaner. Melissa Maker (Clean my Space) has dozens of recipes for just about any cleaning project AND she uses simple products like Dawn, Vinegar, water, baking soda and other things you have on hand. Here is a link to her channel! Click here. She changed my life!
Insider tips: Microfiber towels are the BEST cleaning tool you can buy. Costco offers a huge stack of them for under $20. A microfiber mop is another great investment. I found one at Wal-Mart and use it all the time.
Speaking of homes, my friend Katie Collins and her husband, Robert, owners of Superior Construction, will be showing off their craftsmanship this weekend and next at the annual Parade of Homes. The 2023 Showcase Home is located at 8529 Crepe Myrtle Court in the Headwaters Subdivision at the end of Dawes Lake Road East in West Mobile. Click here for more details.
Congratulations to Katie & Robert!

This week I am continuing the series of "Heavenly Handhelds" featuring a Grilled Chicken and Bacon Sandwich using Ree Drummond's Ranch Dressing as the spread. Here are the most popular videos on my channel this week!
The popularity of this pound cake dessert has surprised me! Almost 12,000 folks have tuned in and many have baked it! As you know, one of my hobbies is cooking and I absolutely love it when others bake along with me. Serve this one with ice cream, strawberries and/or whipped cream! It's a crowd pleaser!
I can hardly wait to make this again! A Tuna Salad Sandwich is light yet filling and Martha Stewart's recipe is a winner! Can you believe that apples and basil would make such a difference in taste? I urge you to try this one and trust me on the additions to your standard tuna salad. Hmm, I might make this one today!

If you ask me what's been one of MY Favorites it would have to be this Chicken, Sausage, Tasso Jambalaya inspired by Paul Prudhomme. This is a big pot of goodness that will yield days of leftovers! I'd like for you to give it a try and let me know if you enjoy it as much as we do! Click here to watch the episode.
Are you learning how to cook and not confident in you skills? THIS is the recipe to start with! This Chicken Noodle Soup will have you banning the canned stuff from your pantry. I used rotisserie chicken and put it together in minutes. Over 5k of you have watched it! Let me know what you think!

Celebrating Earth Day since 1970!
My neighbor, LaRita and I have been encountering such beauty on our daily walks around the subdivision. Magnolia trees are a particular favorite and they are certainly showing off for everyone to see!
This Saturday we recognize Earth Day which was established to advocate for the environment. It is an opportunity to give back to our home planet by planting a tree, picking up litter or recycling your trash.
By the way, there is a fantastic recycling center located on Hitt Road in West Mobile. It is THE place to be lately! So many folks are recycling and I'm loving it!
I hope that you have a wonderful weekend and spend time with people you enjoy. I have a small dinner party planned with some dear friends and am looking forward to catching up. Have a great one! ~ Charlsie
