Being in the Arena

Popular author, Brene' Brown calls those of us who are engaged in doing something big & bold "people in the arena". Local business owners enter the arena every day that they open their doors to customers. They realize that their biggest asset is YOU the consumer.

Entrepreneurs brave the elements to offer special experiences for their customers. Last Sunday, Kristi Barber, owner of The Cheese Cottage, hosted an Italian Wine & Cheese Pairing out on her patio. Despite the cooler temps, our Alabama sunshine kept her guests warm and happy. Kristi offers classes monthly with her next one scheduled for February 17th entitled Cheese 101. Check out her page on the website for more information.

Meet da'Boss would like to welcome our newest VIP to the site, Coastal Human Resource Group! You will be amazed at all of the services this locally owned company offers. Read all about owner, Jim Miller and his team next week!

My Monday marketing tip comes from a man we as a country honor today. "No man has the right to rain on your dreams". Martin Luther King, Jr. Take those words to heart and be passionate about what you do. Find other entrepreneurs that will support your dreams by networking with the various business oriented organizations available here and across the US. Every business owner needs to have someone to bounce ideas off of or to vent frustrations to. Organizations such as BNI, the Chamber of Commerce & WIN can connect you with like minded professionals!

Have a wonderful week and I'll touch base with you next Monday!
