In 2009 Brandon Van Hook reopened the Hickory Pit Too. It was a beloved, locally owned restaurant that had closed its doors. The residents of Semmes were sort of "lost" without it. A new item on the menu was the famous BossHawg. It is 20oz. of hamburger, 4oz. pulled pork, served on a giant bun with all the fixings for only $19.99. Eat the whole thing in 45 minutes or less and you'll go on the "wall of fame" on their website and get a T-shirt!
