Football, Family and Hopefully... Fall Weather!

Football is a way of life in the south and Mobile, Alabama is consumed with their favorite teams! As I ride through our West Mobile neighborhood I see flags of allegiance posted outside front doors. There are even a couple of "house divided" homes rooting for BAMA and Auburn University.

About an hour prior to any University of Alabama game, the street leading to our cul-de-sac fills up with fans gathering at the home of one of my neighbors. Yes, it is sort of annoying to have our spacious street narrowed down to a tight one-lane, however when I think about the memories being made, it is a small price to pay. Football, great food and family are the ingredients needed to create some lifelong memories in the south!

September 21st marks the first day of fall! I am welcoming even the smallest signs of cool weather, considering the sweltering heatwave we have been enduring. Folks are beginning to decorate their from porches with mums & pumpkins. One of our trees is beginning to drop her leaves. The grapefruit & satsumas are getting bigger by the day. This year promises a bumper crop.

Our friends at Crimson Blue Boutique have started putting out beautiful fall clothes, so be sure to check them out! Ladies, there are some gorgeous autumn inspired hues on the shelves at Hope's West Mobile location.
