It's time for Fall Y'all on the Gulf Coast!
I have several friends who are obsessed with all things concerning pumpkins! Posts on lattes, pies, and decorating fill their social media feeds. Personally, I get excited when the temperatures start to drop and I can pull out my sweaters and boots from storage. There is something so comforting about a soft cardigan and a cup of cocoa. I'm optimistic about this week's forecast! Come on fall, I am waiting for you!
Last year, I took my granddaughter, Sydney, out to Ted & Nancy's on Goldmine Road, to pick out a couple of pumpkins to decorate the front porch. We decided to pay homage to the fur kids! I have no idea how to top that idea this year! Nancy has a huge selection of pumpkins this year! If you have never been out there, it is worth the trip. I'll be picking mine up this week! Grab some fresh eggs, vegetables and fruit too!

No blog is complete without mention of fur kids! Rebecca Bunkley, owner of Apollo's Paws is keeping my "kids" looking sharp these days. Not only is she a talented dog groomer, she also works with exotics, cats and birds. Yes, even reptiles need a spa day once in awhile! Her spacious and clean spa is located at 6001 Grelot Road.
She has introduced a wonderful online system of appointment scheduling. I particularly appreciate the reminder text that I receive before the boys' appointment. You can visit her website by clicking here. Registering your pet is easy and booking your first grooming is simple!
If you are looking for an experienced and creative groomer for your pet, the search is over!
Those of you that follow this blog know that Meet da' Boss was expanding to several markets prior to Co-Vid. My former home town of Baton Rouge was one of those places. As recovery from the pandemic begins and travel becomes easier, I will refocus my efforts on my beloved "Red Stick".
Ellen Pino, owner of Avant Tour Beauty Bar and Spa has been keeping her locations going despite the many restrictions placed on businesses in Louisiana. She just announced a great collaboration with Flood Family Medical Center and SYNC Wellness in an exclusive partnership to provide a one of a kind, total body wellness approach to Baton Rouge.
I am excited about all of the new services this partnership will provide to clients in Baton Rouge! I can hardly wait for my next spa day at her place in Willow Grove!
I read this quote on Pinterest recently and it made me smile! I hope you can grab this positive energy and run with it this week! ~ Charlsie
