Making Muffulettas, Playing the "What If" Game, Whats New On YouTube and Celebrations!

This week I spent some time in my kitchen creating this New Orleans style masterpiece! I was inspired to setup a "how to" video for my YouTube channel after wowing some friends with this sandwich last Saturday evening. The original muffuletta was made by Salvatore Lupo, owner of The Central Grocery on Decatur Street in NOLA. My father-in-law, Santo Pecora took the antipasti creation and added his own flavor to this popular handheld. I will leave the link below for you to watch my short video! All of the ingredients can be found at your local Rouses Supermarket or online. Also, I put some helpful links in the video description.

Speaking of YouTube!

Check out the latest videos on my channel!

Here is the "how to" make a muffetta video! Be sure to watch to the end and I'll suggest a great wine pairing and a perfect dish to serve with this incredible sandwich.

We are celebrating today with Ashley Duncan! She is picking up a new car that she earned in her "side gig" turned career as a Mary Kay Director. She has been successful with her endeavors for over a decade and is passionate about mentoring others. Click here to watch a recent interview that I did with her explaining how to get involved. Congratulations Ashley!

The What If Game!

January is the month that everyone strives to "get it right" in life. Diets start, financial prudence takes over and there may be a stealth-like approach to one's career. Now, two weeks into the New Year, many have already backtracked on their resolutions. Folks are beating themselves up for not having the willpower to stick to anything. Is that resonating with you today? Let's explore another option.

Consider this, there is never a situation in your life where there is not a way out, but out of habit many of us continue to choose the lack perspective. We succumb to the mainstream programming of "if only" thinking.

  • If only I was thinner, I would be happy.

  • If only I was wealthy, I would be happy.

  • If only I was married, I would be happy.

The focus is on what we don't have instead of what we already enjoy. Last week I blogged about piling on the good things in your life. It is amazing when you adopt the attitude that everything always works out for me! When you create a list of all of the things that are going right in your life you change the way you see solutions to any challenge you face! Give it a try this week!

Ciao, alla prossima (Bye, until next time) ~ Charlsie
